Barrichello signs for new team

BAR Honda has announced that Rubens Barrichello will join the team from 2006 after leaving Ferrari at the end of the 2005 season after six years, during which the team won five F1 Constructors' championships.
Brazilian Barrichello made his F1 debut in 1993 with Stewart and has since driven for Jordan as well as Ferrari. He has scored 482 Drivers' championship points from 212 GP starts, with nine wins and 61 podium finishes.
He said: "I want to thank everyone at Ferrari for six fantastic years. We won many races and I'm proud to have helped win five Constructors' championships but my target is still the drivers' title
"I've been watching BAR Honda's progress and was struck by the spirit and determination of a team with all the right ingredients to win.
"I can't think of anything more exciting than working with the team and Honda to achieve our shared ambitions."
BAR Honda's Nick Fry said: "Signing Rubens represents a milestone in BAR Honda's development and Rubens' career.
"Rubens is not only an excellent driver but also has the experience of building a championship-winning team; these skills are very important as we work to take BAR Honda to the next level."
Honda Racing Development president Yasuhiro Wada added: "We look forward to working with a driver of Rubens Barrichello's experience and talent.
"We are sure his proven record will be of great benefit towards winning the F1 World championship."

Milan, Italy - Brazilian Felipe Massa will replace compatriot Rubens Barrichello at Ferrari next season, the Formula 1 team has announced.
The 33-year-old is expected to move to BAR, which hopes to pair him with Jenson Button if the team wins its contract battle with Williams for the Briton's services.
Barrichello, whose contract would have run until the end of 2006, had driven for the Italian team with seven-times World champion Michael Schumacher since 2000. He won nine times.
"Rubens Barrichello will leave the Scuderia at the end of the 2005 season," a Ferrari statement said, "the conclusion of a fruitful collaboration that began in 2000 and brought us five Constructors' World championships
Massa, 24, was a Ferrari test driver whose contract with his current team, Sauber, will expire at the end of the 2005 season.
Ferrari said it had exercised an option on Massa that had been in place since 2001 and that "an agreement has been reached on the technical and competitive collaboration with Felipe for the 2006 season".
Ferrari did not explain why Barrichello had been allowed to leave a year ahead of his contract's expiry date. - Reuters

Y si, tenes razón, la noticia es de agosto, pero el foro esta nuevo, y la intención es solo informar que ayer lo entrevistaron sobre eso y daba la declaración de lo que ya se sabe pero por boca de EL, lo mejor de todo es que estaba listo para las practicas, la entevista fue realizada en el GP de Brasil
