Another new lap record for the Alzen Porsche on Hankook tyres at the Nürburgring Nordschleife

Neu-Isenburg, Germany, – During this years’ RCN circuit racing challenge at the Nürburgring (Rundstrecken-Challenge Nürburgring), Jürgen Alzen broke yet another phenomenal lap record last Saturday while racing his H&R special spring Porsche Turbo on the legendary Nordschleife of the Nürburgring (20,793 km). With a time of just 06:58 minutes, the team's lead and constructing engineer beat his very own record of 07:00 minutes from 2008.

"I am very pleased about breaking a new record during this year's racing season. The record reflects the continuous input of the entire team and shows our potential for the future", says Jürgen Alzen. "Our tyre partner Hankook Tire has once again done a sensational job. After three years of collaboration, we can always rely on the high grip, stability and the excellent drivability of their tyres. It's like driving on custom tyres."

The new lap record of 06:58 minutes is the third official lap record in the Eifel since the inception of the Teams Hankook H&R-Spezialfedern. Back in the fall of 2007, his brother, Uwe Alzen left his mark in the "Green Hell's" record lists. In just 8:15:483 minutes, behind the wheel of an Alzen-Porsche 997 GT3, he achieved the fastest lap time ever for a vehicle with an aspiration engine on the Nürburgring (24,433 km, Nordschleife and the short loop of the GP circuit) during the International Long-Distance Championships at the Nürburgring. During last year's season of the RCN, Jürgen Alzen broke his first record on the Nordschleife with an even 07:00 minutes.

In the 2009 racing season, the Alzen Porsche Turbo will be equipped with Hankook racing tyres Ventus F 200 slicks and Ventus Z 207 rain tyres in sizes 280/650-18 at the front axle and 330/710-18 in the rear. The further development of hybrids and constructions will follow throughout the entire season in collaboration with Jürgen Alzen Motorsport.
